1. I am having problems
advancing through a course. What can I do?
If it appears your progress has not been saved or you cannot progress to the next module, check the following:
If you are using Internet Explorer, try switching to Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or Firefox. These are recommended browsers for tapevents.mil.
Be sure that you have viewed and completed all course pages and interactions: Some course modules include user interactions and quiz questions that you must complete before advancing to the next module.
If you are resuming one of the longer courses, it is possible an error has occurred due to a session timeout or internet connectivity issue. You can re-set the module and start again. To do this, click the Restart icon at the bottom of the page when you resume the course.
Be sure to click the Close/Exit button to ensure updates are saved properly when leaving the course.
If you are still unable to advance to the next module or complete the course, submit a Support help ticket at the following URL and the YRRP technical support team will assist you: https://yellowribbon.mil/contactus
2. How do I resume an online course that I closed before
completing?

For an online course for which you registered individually as a standalone course:
Use the URL link that was included in the course registration email you received.
If you do not have access to the registration confirmation email, you can re-register for the course and use the exact same registration details you used the first time you registered.
for an online course that is part of an online event for which you registered:
Use the URL link to your online event dashboard that was included in the event registration approval email that was sent to you. From your dashboard, you have access to all courses and/or live web meetings required for the event .
If you do not have access to your event registration approval email, contact the event’s POC for assistance. You can locate the event POC by viewing the event’s details at https://yellowribbon.mil/event-listing
● Check your spam/junk folder as notifications can sometimes be diverted here.
● Return to the yellowribbon.mil home page, and:
Use the Registration Lookup feature to locate your event registration containing your online event dashboard URL, OR
Request your online event dashboard link from the POC listed on the Event Details page.
This may occur if you re-access a course multiple times (creating multiple sessions) or if your course session times out.
To resolve this issue, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser, and try again.
To avoid this message, always resume courses from the link in your registration email or from your online event dashboard (for online events).

6. Best practices
for completing online courses
· General
o Some course modules include user interactions and quiz questions. Be sure to complete all required interactions and quiz questions to be able to complete the module and advance to the next one.
o Try to set aside enough time to complete a course in a single sitting. If you need to stop in the middle of a course to continue later, be sure to click the Close/Exit link at the top of the course window to ensure your progress is saved correctly. Do not leave the course window open for a future session.
· Standalone Courses
o To come back and resume a course later, use the URL link that was included in the confirmation email you received when you registered. I
o After completing a course successfully, an email with a link to your completion certificate will be sent to you. Allow up to 24 hours for the email to be sent. If you do not see the certificate email after 24 hours, check your spam/junk folder.
· Online Events
o Online events typically include some mandatory and optional online courses.
o You must complete all mandatory completion requirements before you get a completion certificate.
o You register once for the online event, not for the individual courses.
o Wait until you receive an event registration approval email before accessing the event. The approval email will include a URL link to your personal dashboard for the event.
o Always use your personal dashboard to open and complete the event’s courses to ensure your progress and completion are recorded for the event.
o Do not register for the same courses individually as standalone courses. If you complete a standalone course instead of from your event dashboard, your completion will not be recorded as part of the online event’s completion requirements.
o When you have completed all the mandatory event requirements, your event completion certificate will be displayed on your dashboard. You can save a personal copy of it if desired.
